  1. I have seen a left hand safe from Brattonsound. All they do is turn it upside down. Literally. If you have vertical keyslots in the safe you can see they are upside down. They even left the holes drilled in what would have been the bottom which becomes the top. There was no ammo. safe in this unit. The customer that had requested the safe from the shop refused to accept delivery but because it was a special order from Brattonsound it couldn't be returned to them so the shop was lumbered with it. If you wanted to install a left and right hand safe next to each other the keyholes would be at different heights. I have a right hand Brattonsound and am very happy with the product and service but was disappointed when I saw the left hand product they produced.
  2. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/100-clay-shooting-gilet-or-gr-id_8382058.html Wow, for £13.99 that's brilliant. I've never seen one at that price.
  3. Kelbrook is stunning in the summer but possibly a nightmare if you have hayfever, a very unique ground. Coniston have a lot of stands set in woods and have Skeet, DTL and trap too. A lot of the small shoots are set up on farmland and only operate once or twice a month for a limited few hours. The major advantage of them is they are cheaper to shoot, a lot have Very cheap hot drinks and butties and involve less travelling. The possible disadvantage is it is ideal if you go with someone as they don't have the solo Claymate system and you must use fibre wads. I've always found a friendly group to shoot with if I've ever attended as Billy no mates. Seriously though, get yourself to Coniston and Kelbrook ASAP. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
  4. The grounds recommended above mostly look like pretty commercial grounds rather than the local shoots I think you were after. Of the same type of commercial grounds not far from Knaresborough are Coniston and Kelbrook for a completely different experience to Hazel Bank. When you go to Coniston, go early and spend the day. Park Lodge for the good high birds and excellent facilities if that makes a difference for you. Are you interested in smallish hay bailers held on Sundays around West Yorkshire?
  5. That's a heck of a wide area to cover for what is going to be usually only a 50 -100 bird shoot.
  6. The next step to securing your property would be a monitored CCTV system with external detectors and speakers. Scare off the trespassers before they even attempt to break in. Starting at around £25.00 a week for the monitoring and approx. £3k for the install, it is more expensive but it's blooming effective. Very good for those in a remote area in particular.
  7. I have recently purchased a new safe and here are the reasons I bought a ST9+ from Brattonsound. The ST9 has no pretty useless tiny lockable ammo. safe or shelf, saving apx. £80.00 on the cost of a gunsafe. A large digilock normal safe can be purchased for about £35.00 The ST9 has vault style bolts rather than two locks, much more secure The ST9 has only one (1) key Brattonsound supply a three year on site warranty They are made in Britain! They are of consistantly good build quality Usually they arrive in about a week. The ST9 costs apx. £205.00 (It is the same cabinet and cost as the RD7+) 1308 x 407 x 346 It is shorter at 1308mm tall The ST9 is advertised as a deep nine (9) gun safe (Without scopes) but there are eleven (11) foam slots inside (Although for a comfortable fit you more than likely won't fit that many) Icing on the cake is you will get a free sachet of VP90 I don't mean for this to sound like an advertisement but I wanted to share my findings and hope it helps anybody.
