  1. Hi just got the lastest carbon fibre silencer for my daystate regal which is 40ftlbs it isnt that good either, may switch to a weihrauch silencer which ive got on my other rifles they do seem alot quieter.
  2. Excalibre is a nice rifle i wouldnt mind getting it tuned to fac power one day not sure what i could get it up to though, still like my daystates havnt had any problems yet apart from one breech seal on the x2 in 10 years and find them deadly accurate.
  3. Realy nice rifles,i cant fault mine i have a x2 and regal xl in 40 ftlbs which are both deadly accurate they are both .22 realy nice stock you have on yours looks good.
  4. To be honest never thought of it that way, only no when you order a daystate you have to wait 4 to 8 weeks due to them being handbuilt, thats coming from daystate,i do own a s200 and a rws excaliber to, the later being made in sweden which is a nice rifle in the the 12ftlbs variant and very accurate, the s200 my lad uses which has a magazine conversion in 177 and nice to shoot.
  5. Hi ive owned a daystate x2 in 40 ftlbs for 10 years the only thing ive replaced is the breech seal fantastic gun, with good stopping power out to 70 yards on rabbits using 21 grain h n barracuda match pellets.Just bought a new rifle to a daystate regal xl in 40 ftlbs again deadly accurate, expensive but worth every penny. Being hand built you do get a descent rifle that will last years so if you can find one for the money you would have a good rifle.
  6. Thanks for your reply ive had both there 21 and 24 gram shells brilliant game cartridge and made realy wel,l the 7,s are good all round cartridge, ive just got a slab of viri fob in 21 gram which look realy well made to,by well made i meen the crimps dont meet that well on some brands ive had in the past, not many do a rolled turnover apart from the 21 gram rc.
  7. Most 28 shells are good ive used them all over the years, 30 plus years ago when i first started out with my father we used to use eley grand prix paper case 6,s in 21 gram which had a rolled turnover but a good cartridge for the day.I Personally think though the italians are the masters of small bore shells, nobel sport and rc suit my beretta which ive shot now for the last 5 years and plastic wads do make a difference to on game, does any one no if you can still get bournaghi they where a fantastic shell to.
  8. Hi yes rc are a fantastic cartridge have some in a 24 gram 5 shot for high pheasants and they will kill as good as a 12 just have to be more accurate with a 28 but a fantastic little gun, shells can be dear though, nobel sport also do a good cartridge.
  9. Has any one on here used viri fob 28bore cartridges they do a 21 gram 6 or 7.5,also i have around 200 fiochi 28 shells 24 gram 6,s they dont suit my beretta, i live in the dereham area if any one would like to make a sensible offer.
  10. The italian shells are the best there is, bornaghi, nobel sport, and viri fob being at the top, ive shot all the others to like yourself guess its what you are confident using, going to get a reloader at some point cant always get what your after, so at least you can load what you like using.
  11. Thanks so much for your reply will try and source some.
  12. Does anybody no where i can obtain nobel sport from, no one seems to stock them.
  13. Hello buddy yes we where beatiing today on our local shoot, and going feretting tomorrow if its not chucking it down,be nice to hear your views on the viri fob should be a good shell being italian.
  14. y Yes they are good went feretting last weekend and used them to devastating effect on bolting rabbits, want to get some viri fob they make a descent shell to.
  15. Went out saturday with my lad on a driven day, shot 11 pheasants all day out of it realy, but what i did get where high birds taken out with the 28 using bornaghi 21 gram 6,s next order going to be some viri fob or some proper cartridges in 28 and give them a try lad on the shoot has used them and highly rated there stopping power on high birds.
