  1. Hmm Tenants Super eh! Last time I saw a tramp after a session on that he still had a can in his hand & was lying in a bus stop at 8 am having peed his trousers and had dried vomit in his beard. I agree with the above comments, please make sure you get pictures
  2. I paid just over £400 for a brand new CZ550 .243, it's not the prettiest rifle but if you point it in the right direction it does the job!
  3. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap Windows XP disc from? Bought the Mother in law a s/h laptop for crimbo but it's been completely cleared so she can't start web shopping Thanks in advance.
  4. Can anyone recommend or otherwise a sat nav for swmbo? she only needs UK coverage but bluetooth and voice prompts would be good, I have been told to look at a Garmin Nuvi 350, has anyone used one of them? Thanks in advance!
  5. What about a Bridge too far or the Battle of Britain, Ice Cold in Alex, The Great Escape, the Dam Busters, Lawrence of Arabia??
  6. ********. Very constructive good input First of all i have consulted defra, lawyers , police wrights of way infact every man and dog who would know about your rights as a farmer and the protection of livestock and game so before YOU reply to any posts i surgest that YOU like i WHO has reserched this matter in very fine detail dose the same The catch word is CLOSE CONTROLE defanition Within ARMS REACH OF THE OWNER savi You said worrying your GAME, well chum once a creature is released into the wild (and that includes release pens with open fox gates) it is no longer your property but a wild animal and neither you nor anyone else can shoot a dog for worrying wild animals. If you are daft enough to want to be a test case of the definition of close control then carry on and shoot someones little pet dog because it is chasing a pheasant. I hope you feel good about it afterwards. Not a matter of feeling good but being in your wrights Please read the links above ie country code etc cheers Its nothing to do with the country code which is not law. It's a matter of LAW and it is unlawful to shoot a dog because it is chasing or worrying pheasants or any other GAME. Livestock yes, game, no never under any circumstances. I think this might be a good time to drop this one.

Sorry to hear about your grief, I am self employed too so I know how it hits you in the wallet when these sort of pond creatures strike. Have you thought about leaving all you cash drawers open at night so they can see they are all empty? It won't stop them breaking in but it might save you buying new locks for the machines.
  10. I forgot to add that when IE won't work I open outlook express and press send/receive, this seems to "bump start" IE and it then works ok for a while???
  11. Sorry I was a bit vague! the problem is with my desktop, the laptop appears to be fine but it is only used one or two days a week, the desktop is on and used all day Mon-Fri. The thingamy in the pc is one of these http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/117113 a Belkin Adapter/Desktop Network PCI Card RJ45. I don't know if the router is misconfigured, I just seem to get the "internet explorer cannot open the page" message an awful lot since installing it. The router is connected by cable to a filter on the BT socket and by cable to the desktop. There is only one BT socket on the line. The router is one of these http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/52244 NETGEAR DG834G Integrated ADSL Modem 54Mbps 802.11g Wireless Firewall Router The broadband is through Orange, The only problems I used to have before installing the wireless was once in a blue moon I would get the IE cannot open ect message but it was very rare. Thanks for your help, I am utterly useless with 'pooters but I make my living via one so it has to work!
  12. My broadband connection used to be almost 100% reliable, having now installed and setup a wireless router and the thingamy that goes inside the desktop so swmbo can use her laptop at home, I find I regularly cannot connect to websites and my spam filter that auto downloads incoming emails has a long list of failed attempt messages whenever I look at it. Is this a feature of wireless BB as it a pain in the A as I spend most of my day on t' interweb???
  13. Sorted Many thanks Pin and all who advised!
  14. In the white box I only have Speed Touch connection which I think is my old broadband service, the middle button is clicked "dial whenever a network connection is not present.
  15. Well it is finally working, turns out swmbos' laptop had at some time been rewritten or sommit and had been configured to use dial up or wotnot. So now we can both use broadband at the same time which is good but it seems to lose connection to my desktop a lot and then asks me to reconnect to the old broadband, is this usual for wireless and does anyone know how I can stop it asking me to connect to the old service? I am getting round it by opening outlook which then connects me to wireless. Thanks for your help, I am almost totally useless with 'pooters !
  16. It is running XP and has all the latest patches. When we try to connect it sees NETGEAR but then says it needs a WEP key, I printed out the summary when I loaded the disc into my desktop as instructed but it has no WEP key. The laptop tries to connect then goes back to "this network requires a network key, if you want to connect to this network, click connect" Thanks for your help!
  17. Ok so I managed to get the wireless router working on my desktop and set the security settings but tonight I tried to get swmbos' laptop (it is wireless enabled) to connect without success. Can anyone advise me what I should be doing before I drag it into the garden and give it a damn good thashing Basil Fawlty style? Thanks all! Mike
  18. So if I have the WPA thingamy switched on does that mean noone can access my broadband service?
