  1. Brilliant video mate! I know nothing about tree felling but learned a lot there - irrespective of what the job is it's always interesting to see someone who obviously knows what they're doing at work.
  2. As per the title, as new in the original packaging - they were only on my rifle long enough for me to realise I needed medium height!! £30 posted please
  3. Now there's a question only you can answer I would/do as I think that there's somehting great about that molasses & smoke flavour. I've only made it a couple of times but I kept my salt & sugar the same amounts and just treated the molasses as an extra.
  4. Stumpy, if you have any cure left from your earlier go's at making dry cure bacon, the easiest way to make black bacon is to apply the dry cure to the pork as per the instructions on the pack or if it's home made at the correct ratio and then literally apply a generous coating of black treacle or molasses over the top of eveything before vac packing or sealing in a ziplock bag. Then leave to cure for the appropriate time. Another method is to dry cure the bacon, then apply the molasses/treacle after it has been cured and rinsed, then leave it to steep for 5 days or so. Either way, it helps to slightly warm the treacle in order to rub it in to the meat.
  5. Hi mate, I can't answer from y own experience on the long range stuff as I have only shot out to 200m with it. When I bought it I did read online that they were used by quite a few long range target shooters as a good entry level/spare scope but that is only anecdotal. It has a very fine ret with a dot in the middle - I tried to take a picture but couldn't get it to come out.
  6. As above scope in mint condition, no ring marks or scratches. In original box, I've only used it a handful of times, the only reason I'm selling is I'm after a dedicated stalking scope. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
  7. I have, and I wouldn't recommend it!! 20-odd years ago on a training exercise, one of the instructors shot a fox and it went in a big pot with the last of our compo rations, a few stock packets and brown biscuits etc to make a stew. We were all gutted at the pointless waste of the last few unwanted items from the ration pack as it was truly a stew from hell. It's making my toes curl just typing this.

    Homebrewing

Had the smallest beer festival in Yorkshire last weekend. 4 beers on offer, an American Pale Ale at 6%, a session pale at 3.6% a blonde at 4.2% and a stout at 3.8% Was one of the best parties I've ever had, it's not every day that the wife ok's you to bolt the (albeit a bit heath robinson) bar to the kitchen table - excuse Darth Maul, he was there on my son's insistence
  9. Buy a meat thermometer, preferably an electonic one with a probe on the end of a wire. Do a bit of a google about what internal temp equates to what state of the meat for the bird you want to cook (ie 60C med rare for mallard etc) and go by the thermometer. Basically, you stick the prove into the fattest part of the bird, close the oven door over the wire and have the display unit outside the oven, it really is a foolproof way of cooking.
  10. 200mW @808nm Laser illuminator which I bought as part of a NV project which never got started. It's the one in the link here http://odicforce.com/shop/article_OFL244/200mW-Infrared-(IR)-808nm-Laser-Illuminator.html?sessid=saWneJZN9tRMvNumnVUQ2lJiJ418bqz78cmlv86nbxdT2Kgi1XniaCOZp7qJ4YrU&shop_param=cid%3D42%26aid%3DOFL244%26 It's never been out of the house, and has been switched on for less than 5 minutes. I'll include a couple of trust fire batteries I bought to go with it as I have no use for them now either. £25 delivered

  12. Clulite GL6 Lamp with red hinged filter, 2 x batteries, battery carry case and charger, The lamp is a few years old but has seen very little use, the last time I used it I noticed the battery was only holding maybe an hours charge so I bought a new battery which is brand new and unused - I've not even charged it up yet. I've upgraded so it is now surplus to requirements. With the 2 x batteries it's a pretty weighty package to post so Its £50 collected or £65 posted

  15. Western Digital Livewire system for extending your internet connectivity across the electrical cabling via plugging the units into 3 pin plug sockets. Very useful for wireless black spots in your home or getting HDTV into different rooms without running new cables. I don't have the packaging anymore but it really is a simple as plug both units in, connect one to your internet router and then plug in whatever devices you want. Each of the two boxes has four ports and it will support up to 200Mbs I'm looking for £30 posted
  16. If anyone is wanting to make a rotary scratter, the ones with a cylinder of wood with screws in it like this: https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTdfrKOv2xOxmlM4H1Axt6LomB4pHpDXFCvI3f-hJuhhFjvqRFW I had this cylinder turned out of hard wood but in all honesty, I'll never get round to it so I'm happy for it to go free to a good home if you cover the postage. It's 150mm diameter and 200mm long - postage wise, it weighs about 2.5kg
