  1. Just rebooted, seems to be working again, strange. Thanks
  2. None on the images seem to be showing, is it my laptop or the site?
  3. Thanks for the info guys, some interesting reading there. I may risk it for a biscuit but not entirely sure yet. I'm actually going out there for my brothers wedding so will be taking a fair amount of luggage with me, so could do with flight/luggage insurance only, not sure if thats possible though.
  4. I'm off to Australia for 3 months on the 30th and have been looking at travel insurance, but I've had a hard time finding anyone who will cover me as I'm taking medication for a heart condition. The cheapest was just under £300, with grade A sports included. My questions are: Should I go ahead and spend over 1/4 of what my flights cost for insurance. I'm I right in thinking health care is covered by "Reciprocal Health Care Agreements" between the UK and Australia? Luggage is the main concern for me, but cant I claim up to a 1,000 SDRs for lost/damaged luggage? If the above is correct what else will insurance cover me for, do you think is worth getting insured for oz?

    WHY??

Just think how much this cost, shoot the thing! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/northam...ire/7513355.stm
  6. Hunter was taken over by the Pentland Group who own berghaus, mitre, ted baker, lacoste, kickers and several other large companies. They have ceased production of the clothing range and those awful Hunter crown and torlundy leather things! although John Norris still has old stock no wonder they have had such a big price cut, must be costing a fortune to store all those pallets that were shipped out.
  7. One of the main issues is to do with bubbling between the canvas and neoprene on the foot bed, another is the sole parting from the rubber. The amount of returns was unbelievable, I wondered how hunter could cope, obviously they couldn't. Last year I ordered in 7 sets of neo abernethy. 3 had the bubbling issue and 2 sets had one welly taller than the other! Only 2 sets were worth keeping. If you do decide to buy Hunters I suggest you go to the shop so you can check for manufacturing defects rather than risking online purchases. Hunter also sell seconds in the thousands, some online stores will ship out the seconds and pass them off as grade A's, so watch out for that as well.
  8. I used to work for Hunter just before they went bust. The only wellies that are worth buying are the classic, neo galloway & neo abernethy, even they have their issues. When Hunter went into administration John Norris bought the wellies, shoes & Hunter clothing range in the thousand for practically nothing, they are obviously having a hard time shifting them You will be better off going with Le Chameau if you want leather boots/wellies.
  9. 3 Months in Oz on the 30th, got some deep sea fishing booked along with a few days out in the snow at Perisher Blue.
  10. You think the odd rotten egg is bad, a while back I was making an omelette, cracked the egg and out popped a dead chic  Now that was a shocker!
  11. I'm off to Australia next month for 3 months, I'm looking at ETA visas and came across this group: www.etavisaaustralia.com.au They are only charging $14 AUD (7 quid) where as my travel agent wanted £20 for the same service and would take a month. My question... does it look legit to you, I know a few of you have been over there before so any advice appreciated
  12. Precisely, and isn't that the reason why we now have one days and twenty20, to make the match more interesting for the spectators? If the ICC want to ban this shot maybe it should be banned in test matches only.
  13. I'm interested could you let me know the make/model, also any pics?
  14. You cannot send through parcel2go you would have to go directly to the courier as p2g will not accept any firearms including air rifles. Check their terms and conditions if you want to know what you can send

    Rip Off

Main dealers will always charge more, they dont make any profit from selling the vehicles its made from servicing, repairs and selling accessories. To service my Discovery at the main dealers it cost £400ish, at Land Rover Spares cost just over 100 quid.

    Mark speight

Forgive me for my stupidity but where does it say Mark Speight actually took drugs, I've never seen or heard that statement anywhere, maybe I missed it? Apparently he supplied, but how do you think he managed to get his hands on the stuff without been seen? Unlikely, hence the reason why the charges where dropped.
  17. Thats good to know, thanks for the replies.
  18. I've just got back from the docs, had blood tests and ECG. They found a problem but they cant 100% confirm until the blood tests come back. They also said I have high blood pressure which could be stress related. Just wondering is my shotgun cert safe, I know the plod can revoke your cert if your depressed etc. How about stress/blood pressure? Any advice appreciated,

  21. Hi, The firearms officer is arriving next week so need to mount my new gun cabinet, the cabinet didn't come with any fixings so I dont know what to use. Seen this thread: http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=41172 M8's have been mentioned but not sure of the length. I will be mounting to an external wall which is about 2ft thick, has stone on the outside and I think breeze block on the inside which has been plastered. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
