Bobs got it spot on. Theoben Gas ram system uses nitrogen gas instead of a conventional spring. They claim it gives reduced felt recoil and unlike a spring the gas doesnt get worn or damaged over time.

What do you find ridiculous about the Anschutz safety? Ive got one and I find it does all that I ask of it. Yes the mag limitations are a bit annoying but get a spare one. Failing that then yes theres the ruger 77/17, Ive not shot one so cant comment but its got the mag capacity you want.

Not much work about in the building trade so this has to go aswell. Less than a tin of pellets through it, with Simmons WTC 1.5-5x20 and mounts. Slight scuff to underside of stock as shown in pics. £300 or sensible offers near to. BTW its a 2007 gun with a Evo silencer and 1" dampa mount. Went out for a couple hours this avo on a field of Barley. Lugged all me stuff to other side of field (knackered!) Set up a small hide just on the edge of the ditch about 20 yds from some flattened crop and put out 6 decoys on cradles. And waited..............not for long, BAM BAM. Theres the first two. Nipped out quick and stuck them on 2 bouncers, back in hide and they came in thick and fast. Ended 2 hours later with 31. (missed twice as much mind. ) All in all a nice break from work!
