A few years ago I changed house and was visited by the Firearms officer for Strathclyde where the new house was..When I told him I was shooting foxes with my trusty .22 BSA 15 shot he informed me I was breaking the law and that the minimum calibre required was .22 magnum.Over the years i had shot innumerable foxes with the .22 using hv rounds which usually went right through the beast.Anyway I changes to an Anschutz .22 magnum which is now my rifle of choice for the task even though I also shoot a 243.
