Yes you may be correct about some muslim forums (and you are free to post there too). But this isnt a Christian/Racist forum, this is Pigeon Watch. We share a hobby here, and lets keep it that way please. Just because there are menacing posts elsewhere still is no excuse for people to post abusive/less menacing posts here. As far as I remember the politicians were chosen by the people. People are free to vote for the likes of BNP or any other racist sc*m, that concentrates on hating others rather than moving the economy forward and have better relations with the rest of the world. Britain is a growingly multi cultural society, sooner people realise this, and move forward with what we have, better it is. Besides, as mentioned already people have been moving to britain from all over the world for centuries, its time to stop being hypocrite. how far back will we go to decide who really is british and who should leave? There is really little point in thinking that not hating immigrants from other nations is weak, on the contrary, it doesnt make me a stronger/better person for hating others based on their race/colour or nationality. Plenty of Irish wont agree to being called british. Even if you insist on being british, thats still no reason to look down on others who may have immigrated from another country just like your family did. Well I cant see no greatness from some of the racist posts here. why dont you enlighten us with the "greatness" you refer to? I come here to share a hobby, and I dont see immigrants posting hate messages here in this forum. Most of the people in britain have no issue living and sharing a diverse society. Do you mean that it doesnt need to be tested at all when for surface use only? or do you mean that it needs to be tested but at a different level of test? Asking cos I have one which will need filling at some stage and is for surface use only 9but not in test as far as i know) cheers. GB

don't do this whatever you do, if they're illegal and someone spots you it will look rather like you set them yup, and even the ones who set these may become a witness against you

I know its very hard to get a permission. you simply have to keep trying. I got my first permission i think after trying at least 30 or so. But keep at it, as this is the only way. Write to them, and even send a SAE envelop with your letter for them to reply. you can send a simple written permission form to them, to be filled and returned (already available online, if you dont find one, let me know, and I can copy paste it for you). If they say yes, then you can go around to meet them, and dress sort of smart so they know that you are a decent bloke (or a gal). You can wear your camo stuff when you go shooting but I suggest not to wear camo stuff when meeting them first time. Many other very wise suggestions here already like offering to help the farmer to pusuade them etc. some advice on top from me, is that even if they say yes without you having to pursuade them this way, still offer them your skills and services whatever your expertise may be. This is to kind of return their favour even if they didnt ask for any help. It will help you develop a good relationship with them for the future, and hopefully get you even more permissions. Finally, I can see from your location, you are a bit far from me, but if you were any closer to me, or are down this way by any chance, you are more than welcome to join me on a weekend to go shooting on my permission. Very good question. I been meaning to ask this question for a while but thought that I may sound a bit cruel etc, so didnt ask, and saw it this morning. I dont really take the head off, but IF the bunny or pigeons are still alive when I get to them after shooting them, I quickly cut the neck, without taking the head off. a bit of blood comes out, but I been doing this for over 20 years now, and always used this method. Bunnies and pigeon die very quickly, and no need to struggle trying to break the neck off etc. My knife is sharpened every time before I go in the field, as a dull knife is just bad and causes unnecessary delay and pain. Usually its the bone, that keeps the head attached to the body, so I stop as soon as I feel the bone while cutting. takes seconds to do, and quick to finish them off. This may sound strange but I personally dont really feel good about shooting at animals/birds when they are already down and slowly dying, cos no challange etc (but as I say it may only be me). and shooting 2nd time with an airgun at something that is runing or moving isnt that easy.

You are absolutely right about stating he is married though cos a criminal record infact can deprive him of a good job etc in future, and that for sure will affect his wife and childrens living conditions. Very unfair to give this kind of harsh and may I say extremely stupid punishment to someone who has responsibility to look after his family. Just imagine being a child of a father who couldnt afford good toys, clothes etc because he left a bin lid open!!!!! It is absolutely rediculous, and I think one day people may just get fed up of this big brother type govt and take a stand against govt /local councils thinking of people and public services as money generating machines. I think I can even safely say that even a communist govt wouldnt do that, they may be strict, but they do work for the people, not always against their people (like in this case). You are also right about the camera situation, I heard a couple of years back that every person in Britain gets filmed (and recorded) on average 400 times a weak!!!! Fitting electronic chips to find out the weight of your rubbish (and God knows what else) is another example of the big brother sosciety, so not only us, but even our rubbish is also watched, and recorded ..haha...I wonder (if this carries on) when they are going to install compulsary cameras inside our homes to monitor what we do at home and believe me they will have many more (crappy) excuses for that too just like they do with every other rediculous new law they bring out.

What does that have to do with it ?? I pointed out he was white because I normally get slated by pm, s accusing me of being racist! by certain members!!! :o LOL... so here is the "storm" someone mentioned earlier Buddy dont take me wrong, but when you write these kind of words "WHITE MARRIED MAN".... it gives out a message. The message may be right or wrong, weather you meant it or not, but the choice of words show that you thought it was important that it has happened to a white man. Other fellow PW members may read the word and (quite rightly) conclude that this crazy injustice happening to a "white married man" is of (at least some) importance to you hence you put it in caps. To be honest, personally I am sure you are not a racist person, but the statement for sure seem racist, weather you agree with it or not. But I am hoping you will see the point as I am sure you are a kind person, who will stand aginist this kind of injustice, even if the guy was non-white and not married etc. I for one, would 110% be against this kind of thing happening to a white, black, brown, yellow, or a green person Please remember, a man is known by his actions, and what he says. And... racism is not when the rascist person declares that he is racist, but it is when racism is felt. As I said, I am 100% sure that you are a very kind person and didnt mean any racism, so please dont take me wrong, i am just another PW member just like you, only pointing out how your comment may seem racist to some. It probably would be fairer if you had written "a young married man" or even "young man". It is an excellent post, and good to see support against this stupid action from the council , but this choice of words can take away the emphasis from the injustice that happened to this young man into a totally different discussion that really has nothing to do with this, and that I am sure was not your intention. Its unbelievable that the council would actually pay for two guys time to go and take photos etc only to catch someone who has left the bin open. and then further hire lawyers to prosecute this guy. As correctly said already, he is just an easy target (and a fool too). If you have a life, a house, career, a family, and are not a no-one (in other words got something to lose), the British Govt would do or allow to be done, absolutely anything to threaten you, so they can have a bit more of your money. And this is a perfect example of that.

I been playing cricket since I was young, just in the school etc. then used to play Sunday league for a club in London 3 years ago, but then stopped cos of the politics involved in it. I been playing Squash and Badminton and still do, cos its a lot more fun, no team politics to put up with, and mostly one on one, so its less mental effort too as you know where you stand and what your skills are etc. Also Sunday league used to take the whole of Sunday, while now I have lots more time, and still get good excercise done. found cricket to be a bit slow paced and just standing around a lot (unless when I was bowling/batting).
