MC
I sincerely hope that the undersize fish were returned? Also I should write into Sea Angler, I doubt that there has been a decent Cod caught from mersea in about 30 years, not off the shore anyway. MerseaDavid
We always put back any small fish and only keep the good sized ones And quite a few people have caught some nice sized cod off Mersea over the past 2-3 years. Norrie
David, crackin pics mate. The brekkie looks superb.....if yer ever up here in Scotland, geez a shout, we'll try and get you something a tad larger...mibbes one of these .. I got this in 2007...one of dozens I've had on my mates boat....I've only had them to 176lbs on my own boat tho'' They are the reason I gave up shore fishing. I grew up shore fishing as well and spent too many days trying to catch things that werent there... Cheers mate. Beerdor,...Crackin Carp there, never had one before, tho', we have them in the Forth and Clyde canal, a guy had one of ( I think) 35lbs recently.... See yer from Aylesbury...my ancestors hailed from there... seemingly, according to my father, theres a churchin Aylesbury with lots of them named on the walls after getting killed and wounded in WW1.... MerseaDavid
Cheers mate I dont go fishing that often (3-4 times during the winter), because I am either working on the farm or shooting and when we do go fishing we dont just go there for the fish we just go there to have fun and if we dont catch anything then we are not bothered.
