CZ550Kevlar
I have a mini 14 in .223 with a 1 in 9 twist, i got it threaded slung on a T8-AR mod to balance the front and back, went to midway and got a new carbon realtree stock. Mine shoots very well and keeps up with the best of them, it loves 40grain vmax.
Lloyd90
So its straight pull then ? To be honest it would probally be much easier to just get a bolt action like a CZ 223 and use that
king cj
no doubt it would but thats not the point, i like a bit of a project especialy one that would get up peoples noses, everyone knows minis arnt the most accurate of rifles but people love to tell you with great relish that they cant hit a barn door from the inside even if they have never seen one let alone shot one. kevlar, did the stock make any noticeable difference to your rifle or has it always been pretty good? got any pictures of that stock? Yes the stock made alot of difference, much better made and seems to work with the shot rather than against it if you know what i mean, i will try and get a picture over the weekend, 1 in 9 twists are much better but than the 1 in 12 which is the norm plus i would advise reloading different rounds, 40 grain vmax it loves 55 not as good it loves varmint grenades when i can get them in any weight. My rifle she is a fickle creature but she is accurate very accurate but read any forum and some mini14`s couldnt hit the titanic some like mine can pick rabbits heads at 300 yards and not miss a beat. Dr_Scholl
Ruger now makes a Mini 14 designed specifically for target shooting. I don't know how easy it would be to get a UK legal version though.
king cj
its not made in straight pull, only semiauto so we cant be trusted with it

king cj
mini 14 target is a specific mini 14 made for target shooting, its different from the standard mini 14. cant find any indication that and straight pulls are/were made, ruger isnt makeing any more standard straight pull mini 14s for the forseeable, think they were disapointed with sales Edited October 4, 2009 by king cj
