shaun s
Hi I'm looking to get myself a pigeon carousel (never had one before) but rather than go and byone that won't work can anyone suggest a half decent one I should look out for? cheers
Cranfield
Whatever you decide, I would recommend you buy from a reputable Supplier, there is a lot of junk out there being sold cheap. Take a look at the UKShootwarehouse Standard Rotary Machine (link at the top of the page), thats good value for the money and you get a PW discount. Greenhunter
Most of them will work,(well, they'll go round and round) but its for how long before burning out that counts. Some of the cheaper models apparently break down after a few months but that's only hearsay and not personal experience. Our sponsors do a good deal on them (UKShootwarehouse)and , I believe, they will attempt to sort out any problems should they occur. This, in my view, is worth a lot! However, there is an increasing view that the 'carousel' has had its day in terms of effectiveness so it might be an idea if you asked about that aspect too. I, personally, have noticed that they attract mostly immature birds and, therefore, most of the older, wiser birds avoid them. I tend to use mine only when its too windy for my floaters to work effectively. You get what you pay for I think! Sorry if that was not very helpful and it is just my opinion!
