well had the owl out for a few hrs yesterday..nothing showed any interest in it!!! apart from a couple of walkers!!! managed 2 magpies..but they were wen i was driving up to the place!!! i will try again though!!! god loves a trier!!!

 

 

Dave same thing happened to me yesterday :yes: a walker walked into the middle of my decoy pattern looking puzzled :)

Dave, I tried one exactly the same but didn't get anything to mention come in to it so I changed the colour of it by painting it brown (Similar colour and pattern to a European Eagle Owl), it did bring a few maggies and crows in but not enough to "write home about" so I gave up on it.

Mind you, when I had a Harris Hawk she used to get mobbed by what seemed like every crow within a mile whenever I flew her. I guess they can tell the difference between a plastic one and a live one! Then again it could be something to do with the way that birds and animals see colours differently to the way that we see them.
