I've seen a few over the years, I don't think they cross breed. I just think it's something in the Genes. Just my opinion. The ones I've shot tended to have white colouration not Silvery Pink as you described.

 

Interesting though.

We have shot 3 or 4 semi white Woodpigeons like this and a lot whiter in the last 5 years from a total of over 40,000 birds shot, they are pretty Rare! Even rarer is a fully Albino bird. Some of them look white with blue spots through them, a bit like blue cheese. :/

They aren't a cross of any kind though.
