Blackpowder
I have just been looking on line at a Zeis Diatal 8 x 56 T scope, are any members using this scope and what is their opinion of it. Also the choice of rectile is 1-4 or 8, I do not envisage doing any late dusk shooting with the Parker Hale 243 where the scope is destined so which rectile is the best for general rifle wark ? Blackpowder Sorry, don't know anything about the scope in question, but the word you've used for reticle is sure gonna raise some smiles. Mungler
I don't like Zeiss. ME kindly got me a top of the range Zeiss from Basspro last year when the dollar was in the toilet. I got rid of it immediately >>here<< because the eye relief was the worst I had ever come across in a top end scope. S&B or Swaro for me in 8x56. Don't buy one without having a looky through one. DaveK
The N04 reticle is probably your best bet but it's down to personal preference. The No8 looks to be like the standard 30/30 reticle which probably most people prefer.. I assume it's for stalking?
Blackpowder
Many thanks for the helpful advice from members. I have also seen the 8 x 56 in www.############## on the inside rear page of the recent BASC magazine at £500, although on line they are quoting a higher price. An on line firm is offering the 8 x 56 at £446 : 64 and the 6 x 42 at £412 : 10, which is the best price I have came across so far.
