malkiserow
I was wondering what your experience was with choke+cartridge combination? What worked well and what did not.....? Thanks

garyb
Can't say I know! I've never had it on a pattern plate.
Billy.
I know GB can hit some corkers at 60 yards with his 20b, so I'm sure it's got a good pattern If I take mine up the clay ground I'll take a picture for you.
Pykie
I use mine to shoot everything from snipe and woodcock to geese and foxes. Quarter and half fixed choke, fed with RC20 cartridges in an ounce of 6s... or 4s if dealing with bigger game
flytie
I patterned mine, but its a fixed choke model, choked 1/4 and 1/2. I found that hull sterlings were the favourite fodder for game. We had to use fibre wads so no plas-wads were used. It also liked Gamebore 24g x 8's in fibre, but for the life of me I can't remember which one. I did put Tungsten-matrix through it and the patterns were not great' but they really did the business on ducks. I found it surprising that changing manufacturer could alter the pattern density and evenness of spread as much as it did. I think this is why Teague (and best gun manufactuers) ask that you specify the shell that you want to use in the gun, then they regulate the choke to produce the best patterns for that particular brand/load. The worst performing shells through both my Beretta's have been Eley's. But don't get hung up on this, I patterned every manufactured shell i could get hold of, bought some Hull's (they were the best in both guns) and used them for game shooting. I then used up the less good performers on pigeons/crows/rabbits and found that they killed just as well as the expensive ones. I don't have a metal pattern plate. If you know someone who works at a print works get them to save you the end of a reel of paper, mine is about 6ft wide, and take it out to a field and pin it up on a pallet. Measure out, accurately, 40yds. Shoot, cut off the 4ft/ish you have shot at, roll out another pallets worth and keep going. Then you can analyise them later, as long as you write what you shot it with on the paper. I have done this with my all my multi chokes too. Time consuming, but interesting. ft
