pigeon controller
I went out on Friday with the ferrets after three phone calls from farmers saying the pigeons were on the rape. After thirty miles I'd found small numbers on all the farms that had phoned and then decided to take my ladies out and let them hunt. They are only six monthe old and this is the third time they have been out. I had a field in mind with three buries. The first two produced nothing but the last one eight rabbits. Saturday picked DB up a eight and started the head for the fields that I'd seen the day before on the way we passed a field of fodder turnips with three hundred birds on it but it is in the middle of a big syndicte shoot so gave it a miss. In total we must have looked at twenty fields of rape with no birds visible, a matter of you should have been here yesterday. We then came to the last field that I'd seen the day before with about one hundred birds on it and decided to set up. With the wind, sun, houses and roads it was very difficult be safe but we set up in a corner of the field and the birds had to fly over some oaks and then drop into the pattern or fly over high. The first hour was busy then it slowed but we had a bonus some of the local shoots were moving all round us a kept sending us birds from all direction. We had to finish when the rain started and we picked up 195.

Whitebridges
Nice one. Norfolk still seems devoid of pigeon feeding on rape, unless ofcourse anyone knows different?
