Spaniel
I normaly carry about 18 duck decoys with me in a single strap nylon bag (Football bag) Then i have the gun plus the cartridge bag, but all this is looped over my head which isnt to bad until i start climbing over gates and like last night up and down on some very uneven muddy ground. The problem last night was that the decoys decided to swing round to my right just as i was trying to get a footing and i nearly came a croper. Im after a large rucksack which would hold 18 decoys and lines, enough pockets for torch, hat, gloves and face mask plus some cartridges and it must have 2 straps for even weight displacement on my back Anyone got any ideas or have you something you use like this already, im just fed up with trying to keep my balance etc Cheers
henry d
I have one like THIS and it is very good, however it doesn`t have pockets etc. but the straps for shoulders and waist are good.
Cosd
Go to a fishing shop mate. I was in one on the weekend and they have a fantastic range with loads of pockets etc. Their prices were very reasonable. I don't know why, but the fishing shops always seem much more reasonably priced than gun shops. For similar or equivilant ruck sacks, I would say the fishing shop is about half the price compared to a gun shop. In the past I have bought camo suits, hats, gloves etc, and all better priced than the gunshops!!

Spaniel
yep seen those shoulder bags but i think i would prefer the weight on my back rather then shoulder which i have at present....to be honest my shoulder is aching like mad after yesterdays evening walk along the foreshore
