lowlander
a good freind of mine has arranged for me and him to have a days driven pheasant shooting at a big shoot and has said that i shouldn't shoot in my regular clothing ie deerhunter camo, so i have been looking at the seeland range, especially the brandon and the lingfeild, are these ok to wear at a pheasnt shoot and how would you rate them also if you had the choice which one one you have ? lowlander
terry b
hi there been on one or two driven /walked up days recently so i had the same dilema, got myself a decent check shirt and suitable tie, decent sweater over "sorted "used my regular coat but not camo, then last week bought a sealand"william" fleece which really looked the part over the shirt and tie and didn't spend loads of cash. enjoy the day regards terry b

lasbrisas
I looked at Seeland but found most of them to be water resistant not waterproof, something to bear in mind.

flytie
I recently bought two pairs of Brandon trousers, they are equally as good as any deerhunter stuff i have owned. They are waterproof, this recent weather has given them a good work out and i have been in my highseat in a complete downpour and was dry at the end of it. The Seetex Membrane seems very like the Deertex, nowhere near as breatheable as Gore-tex, but better than a lot of the other stuff out there. I particularly like the zip back pockets that do not shred your vehicle seats when getting in and out of vehicles, unlike the deerhunter trousers with their huge press studs that are forever needing to be replaced. You will be fine in this sort of clothing at any driven shoot, camo can be frowned on, but the Seeland (non camo) will be fine. atb, ft
groach1234
I shoot in a seeland lingfield jacket and have been out in some real heavy Scottish downpours in it when stalking and it held up well. I also have the Beaters trousers and live in them as they are the most comfy things i own however i am not so convinced about the waterproofness of the more suede like tops.
