apache
Thanks again for everyone's help! Much to think about. I wear electric ear defenders they keep your ears warm and functioning into old age!! That's a good point when shooting, but I look a wally walking the dogs in them! njc110381
I wear a wooly hat usually, and a neck tube too if it's really cold. I have a green balaclava but I've scared a few ramblers in the past so don't wear it any more
Zapp
I have a thinsulate hat that is a bit like a beanie, just quite a bit larger. It looks pretty ridiculous, but it certainly keeps my head warm. ZB

banjobill
Normally in winter a flat cap. If i need cammo then i wear a headneat underneath it. In summer a BASC baseball cap. When wildfowling or wating for charlie in the winter i use a balaclava, brilliant. Sometimes especially when raining ill wear a scarf too so i dont get any drips down my back. Ive got a old army coat with a hood which can be worth its weight in gold. Sometimes nothing especially if very hot or if im working in confined spaces, hair will clean and dry!
