Rat recipe

In rural china it's a staple, but I only think it's edible as they are in the wild and not in sewers. I still wouldn't eat one though

who's going to be the first to shoot and eat a rat??

 

 

obviousley i would volunteer for this crucial job, however i dont think a rat shot with a 12ga would be very edible, and a .22lr or .17hmr even less so, so we need some of our airgun toting members to take up the challenge to kill it, cook it, eat it (ratus ratus). any willing volunteers?

Well I have shot them - and am pretty sure that one of the many dodgy takeaways I have had over the years contains meat of furry origins - Does that count??

But even he bottled out of eating rats

My grandad was a prisoner of war in Germany during the 1st world war. I recall him telling me that the Germans gave them black bread, and that he and his mates trapped rats, cooked and ate them as often as possible.
