philm
It needs to be greater than 12volts to charge it, try 15 or 18 volt charger. Edited January 18, 2010 by philm

Gordon R
It might be the starter pack is kaput. I have had a couple and they are as much use as a chocolate fireguard. They don't tend to last no matter how well you treat them. I have seen hundreds at car boots and auctions - none work. The only one which would do the job was a Snap On, which a mate has. Chris B123
I agree with Gordon, I bought a cheap one from Aldi used it once and tried to recharge it and it would not hold a charge. You get what you pay for I suppose.
Andy_B
cheers for help if 20alex09 could give me the correct details from charger that would be a start ...ruddy thing has only been used to blow up the kids bike tyres an occasional jump start nothing heavy ...it was 90 quid... snapon would be about 5 times that...from experience !! 20alex09
The charger is 13.5v and 500mA. It has a Japanese name printed on it in bold white writing, I cant remember exactly what it is though.
apache
I have a clarke one and just use a normal car batter charger clamped on the terminals. Seems to charge it nicely. (disclaimer - try this in the shed/garage first!)
