I started a thread some time ago reff adding two stroke oil as an additive to diesel fuel . This really dos work and will cut down emmissions by as much as 20% .It will make the engine run quieter ,smoother and give you more miles per gallon as well as lubricating the fuel pump and act as an upper cylnder lubricant . I add two stroke oil to every fill up on my diesels .

Perhaps somebody could reserect this post from were ever they are kept and every body can have a read again as I dont know how to find them . Incidently the mix is 100 ml to 35 litres of diesel . The low ash mineral oil is best .

Harnser .

I might give this a try Harnser, I take it no preparation is needed and isnt likely to cause any unforeseen issues? You just pop it in the tank prior to fill up? Also which brand of oil do you go for?

You want the cheapest low ash mineral ,dosent matter what brand and yes just pop it in the tank at fill up . It really dos make a differance . If you search for two stroke oil on here there are two threads giving all the details .

saw some low ash 2 stroke oil in Tesco the other day. So got that, was about £4. Cheap enough?!?!

I popped it in the tank, however I filled up at the end of a 9hr night shift, so was a bit clumsy and slopped about 150ml in by accident, so filled tank to capacity which is about 49L I think. So hope a slightly stronger mix wont cause and problems?

I'll report back.
