steve_b_wales
Most of the crow decoys that are on sale are okay, even though they may shine when wet. I have many of these decoys, and I have removed the problem with shining by using a flocking kit. The kit is also available for pigeons as well. PM me for their address. Cranfield
Take a look at those supplied by our Advertiser UKShootwarehouse, there is a banner at the top of the page and you can get a Pigeon Watch discount. I often use dead crow/rooks on my floater, which gives good movement to the layout.
wildfowler.250
Thank you very much for both replies! How much of a discount do you get off them and how do you go about mentioning it? Has anyone tried either of these? 1)http://www.ukshootwarehouse.com/shop/PIGEON+DECOYING+EQUIPMENT/Crow+Decoys/Flock+Coated+Flying+Crow+%28PAIR%29..html 2) http://www.ukshootwarehouse.com/shop/PIGEO...socks+Pair.html Im guessing the standard crow 'deek' from them works fine? Many thanks again for the help!
rigwallet
put ladies tights over them then paint them with black matt paint that way just buy the cheap unflocked ones as flocked ones soon become unflocked after very little use

utectok
Get flocked ones or flock your own that's my top tip and also get a couple of Hypa flaps for the magnet deadly. Edited January 26, 2010 by utectok
wildfowler.250
get a couple of Hypa flaps for the magnet deadly. Thanks for that I wasn't so sure as crows don't exactly have a fast wing beat when they are comming into land but if they work
utectok
I think it is the movment of the crow hypa flaps that attracts the crows they are curious things IMHO.
