Crouch valley
Hi i have a rem 700 dm in 243 cal and im thinking of puting a new trigger in it as the original one has broke any suggestions as to which type. I mainly use it for foxing and a bit of stalking. The new triger must have a safety and be a nice light pull.
Rem223
I fitted both my Remingtons with Rifle Basix triggers. They are relatively cheap but you do have to fit the factory safety yourself and the E clip that holds this on is **** The Jewell triggers are supposed to be the creme de la creme, but are substantially more expensive. The only drawback I found with the Rifle Basix varmint trigger was that it was if anything too light.

Rem223
Thanks rem 223 do you know what the pull is on the varmint trigger roughly TBH I can't remember now. I actually bought two of them. One was the ERV extended range varmint which goes from 4oz to 1.25lbs. The other was a target trigger L-3 which is 2-6oz. I wouldn't recommend that one though for field use. The LV-1 is adjustable from 8oz to 1.5lbs and is probably the best option.
Mr_Logic
Agreed. I had the heavier one on mine and it was a little heavy still. Good triggers though!

inthedark
Hi mate, I've got a 700 trigger with the connector bar broken, you can have it if its a different bit that's gone on yours. Factory 700 triggers are high quality and easily adjustable to a reasonable weight, there's no need to spend £200 on a replacement
