How much electricity does the uk use per year?

Far too much. If the average UK citizen is anything like my current housemates then the total could be cut easily by 75%!!

 

Not to mention heating. I've lost count of how many commercial buildings i've been in with the heating cranked right up and all the windows wide open.

 

 

What sort of morons run these places?? And high street shops with their automatic doors left wide open... It's ridiculous!!

My answer would be "quite a bit", which is probably another answer he wasn't looking for.

348,700,000 Mega Watt Hours per year.

 

 

Thats 667 Watts per year per person, in 2005 according to wiki, so it is may all be wrong!!!

do your maths again, I got 5844003.486 watt hours

 

edit, I should be getting wikipedia to check there sums, not you

Here's a better one, and a tip for any one writing reports.

Go to wiki to find what your looking for and then go to the wiki reference and you might find like here that the info is more up to date or better, and you don't have to reference wiki which is not a reliable source.

 

I just had trouble finding it in the first place.
