al4x
CZ don't make a Varmint (heavy Barrel) American..do you have some sort of custom??? I've got one as well, basically you get the american stock but the action still has american printed on the heavy barrel
Lez325
Not completely sure, but the American barrel also comes with a threaded muzzle for like a supressor. The varmint barrel does not have this feature, I think. No youre wrong mines threaded and its a Varmint barrel (20") and I bought it brand new - came from Edgar Bros with the screw cutting done Les
azbycx
No youre wrong mines threaded and its a Varmint barrel (20") and I bought it brand new - came from Edgar Bros with the screw cutting done Les I am fairly sure, my statement included "Not completely sure,"' and "I think". So calling me wrong hardly bruises my ego. My statement was merely something to consider for those in the know to clarify. I do believe the main question was about differences in a thicker barrel. Which I tried to explain. But the actual varmint model is listed as 21" barrel, not 20". But the actual dimensions are listed at 20.9 ". In fact both the American and Varmint list their barrels as 20.9" with a description of "heavy barrel" in some earlier year models. In 2010, the Varmint barrel is 20.9; and the american is 22.5. And to make things more confusing, the american is available with a 16"length with a threaded muzzle. In 2010, the Varmint model is listed as a "heavy barrel American", albeit shorter. I think we can all agree, there are a few variations out there. So its best to compare the actual inventory at the store, and not base your decision on strictly a model name. Or to say that the one of a model, is representative of all units in a model production run. skips rolling the eyes
wildfowler.250
Yeah I'd say there's a good chance the American stock could be replaced by the Silhouette one
