Highlander
Good luck...the info on Yell is so outdated you'll find most of those farmers are dead and the land sold on or they don't farm anymore and lease the land or...need I go on. It's a start but there's nothing like hard graft to get what you want and that means door knocking like a b***** MP
stubby
getting the names and addresses from yell or google earth is not a problem, but finding out who owns a certain field is, sometimes fields near farms, can be owned by farmers miles away
covlocks
The Land Registery is the only way
Cranfield
But a Ordnance Survey map book (not the silly fold up thing that falls apart) for the area(s) you are interested in. I ask at Farms, any farmworkers I see in the fields, the local Pub, people that live nearby, even dog walkers. I mark the map in pencil, until I get confirmation from the Farmer/Owner. Farmers are also good for telling you who owns all the other local land. I have never ever found a satisafactory, easy to access, uptodate register of land owners showing their holdings. Asking is the best way.
