libs Posted February 6, 2010 Report Share Posted February 6, 2010 You have said it all really, a drill, assorted wood files (a rasp if your shaping chunks of wood), a vice, various grits of paper, epoxy or some kind of resin etc.. Try and find some long metle stubs to use to run down the middle of the stick and into whatever is being placed on as a handle. Something like an 8" nail with the head ground off did the job for me! HDF Posted February 7, 2010 Report Share Posted February 7, 2010 If you're gonna be polishing up some horn metal polish works a treat after going through the grits in wet and dry. And if you accidently get to the marrow of the horn rub in some super glue then polish it up, but for all the other gluing araldite works best.
