Sammy_D
Hey guys. im wanting to build a sort of kitchen in my boot of the disco 2. Im thinking of a pull down table on the rear door card with two holes in it. One for a gas hob and the other for a basin. Im also thinking of building some unit to store a small gass bottle, mini fridge and a water tub. So for the table im thinking of a chequer plate with 2 gas struts and 3 hinges at the bottom Has anyone made anything like this at all and if so have you got any pictures? Thanks Sam

Lez325
I'd check with your insurance company before you modify the disco- if it does go up in flames you could be left with a hefty bill if the insurance company dont approve the modification- as they'll use any excuse for none payment- just a thought! togger
Sam, have a look at VWT4 It's a forum dedicated to the VWT4 transporter van with a section all about conversions (you might even see mine on there). It might just give you some ideas as folks have tried all sorts of combinations converting basic vans to weekend campers very basics such as what you're suggesting to full out £1000's spent! John_R
I have seen this done in Discos already, you can buy the whole kit & caboodle ready made if your budget could stand it. If I can drag the info out of this addled brain I'll post it here, but try searching for companies who do expedition type add-ons for Landies.
