Beardo
ammo comes in boxes of 20, so 160 buy 200 hold makes more sense (i did have similar, but upped it with the FEO to buy 200 hold 300) Edited February 24, 2010 by nickbeardo
Lloyd90
Id put buy 200 hold 250 or 300 as you can buy 223 ammo in bulk packs of

hmr
i had buy 150 hold 250 but had it changed to buy 200 hold 300 to enable bulk buy in 200 lots if need to.
Mr_Logic
I have 1200 hold, 1000 buy as I reload, and that's very handy. Always ask for a job lot, never know when it'll be useful!
Dekers
.223, I have 1000 buy and 1200 hold on one of my FAC's, and I don't reload, and 5000 buy and 5000 hold on my other FAC (yes 5000) You work it out, but few will get to the 1000 mark, it's simply down to being able to show a requirement, that is often achieved by returning your FAC every few months for a new one because you have filled the ammo slot yet again!! Which I still do anyway!!!!

But being a bit simple it doesn't occur to firearms depts they can leave your ammo allowance low as you will be getting a variation soon, NOR SHOULD IT!!! If you use it you can have it!!! Billy.
Anyway, back on topic. As above, go with a number that's divisible by the number of rounds you get in a box. However I'm sure if you get 2030 buy, you're not actually going to be upset if you can't completely fill up your allowance...!
