bobt
I used to have my Lotus 7 replica insured with Adrian Flux for around 9 years . It was fully comp limited mileage to 4500 for £99 a year As you can guess no one can touch them but be aware there policy has a loyalty bonus but not a no claim bonus that you can transfer to another company . So if you do leave them you are effectively starting all over again. Be sure the driving off road is covered in writing as its easy to deny a phone call ever took place I have my Defender insured with Swinton . I only have 3 years no claims and they did it for £175. They will cover for farm use but not green laning Green laning is on public roads, so you are covered anyway. flux have limited mileage policys that do not have a no claims structure,
Boromir
Has anyone ever tried sureterm as I have seen them advertising as 4x4 specialists? HW682 I got a really good quote from them and paid, only for them to phone me a week later ask a few questions like do I use a company car while at work etc. And they said I didnt qualify and cancelled. Really made me angry as it was only £240 fully comp had to go to the next quote which was £550.
stokie
Can you explain this, I was under the impression that as long as you have no claims bonus accumulated you could transfer to another company, is this not the case in your experience? I wouldn't have thought they could stop you getting a no claims bonus with another company? I dont know if this is specific to Flux . In theroy you dont get cheaper insurance next year . They are flat rate policies . My premium was the same year after year . When I sold my kitcar and bought a tin top they would not give me any proof of no claims bonus that I could take to another company . Its their way of keeping your business . Green laning is on public roads, so you are covered anyway. I think you may have an argument on your hands there as I did get a quote from them for the landy and when asked they said green laning was not covered
HW682
I got a really good quote from them (sureterm..) and paid, only for them to phone me a week later ask a few questions like do I use a company car while at work etc. And they said I didnt qualify and cancelled. Really made me angry as it was only £240 fully comp had to go to the next quote which was £550. Since I asked the question I got a pm from another member and after doing a bit of googling it seems your story or something similar is very common. Thanks for the reply
ziplex
I tried loads, Swift.com were the cheapest for me but that was with 25k business miles/Freelander 2. Worth a try though and a quote only takes a minute to sort Edit.......sorry, scrap that, just re read the OP Edited March 4, 2010 by ziplex
JackReady
Have my truck insured with LV insurance. I was with NFU and have also used Churchill and Admiral in the past. LV beat them all. Found putting my partner down as a named driver helped reduce the premium.
