The Duke
now i will be gettin it in for repair next week but in the meantime i was just wondering what the problem could be  basically it will not fire the bottom barrel, was shooting fine all day untill i was halfway through a round of skeet now the safety catch does not feel quite so posative and nor does the pull of the trigger, so can only assume something has come loose? Delbert
Has the bottom firing pin broke?? Or could even be stuck had that happen when a tiny bit of brass swarf got lodged, it seemed to cock OK but the firing pin stayed in its little 'ole wedged in. The Duke
no does not appear so, a few people looked at it at the club but couldnt really come up with a definate conclusion, so was wondering if this was a common fault the gun is only 18 months old and probably had bout 600 carts through it i reckon, its a 30" sporter btw. Delbert
I suppose anything can happen but Lanbers have a good reputation for reliability when you cock it and try to fire does the second barrel make any sound or just click. Alternately have you selected bottom first and did it discharge then ?
Paul223
What happens when you try to fire it? can you hear the firing pin hitting home? or is there nothing no clicking? have you tryed to fire the top barrel using the selector does that work ok? have you given the butt of the stock a good sharp tap to throw the selector? If your going to mess around in doors with it use snap caps or a pair of USED FIRED cases, not live ones my lanber has had a few thou through it with no problems Edited March 21, 2010 by Paul223

Doggone
I had an early Lanber years ago and the spring on the safety catch used to break and cause this problem. Andy
