henry d
No the estate on the hill just about wiped them out so it`s just a few scrawny bu66ers when the weather is hard.
Frank
Why did they wiped them out? That does not seem good management to me.

white fox
Nice one's Henry I have just hung this on wall one from my recent trip to Switzerland, I took advice from my Swiss buddy and used a belt sander to reduce it to halfway up the eye socket. Is this ever done here? WF
rarms
WF, I used an angle grinder this morning to reduce an uneven cut red deer mount I have Power tools make it soo easy, bloody evil smell though, worse than burning hair! white fox
Power tools make it soo easy, bloody evil smell though, worse than burning hair! Rarms How true, stinks like hell. Who could work in a crem, not me. Pretty sure some of the pesky dust got into my coffee mug, as I took a swig and thought that ain't Nescafe - uuurghhh WF

henry d
The dremmel type tools come with a nice little cutting disc and this cuts down on the nasty pong of burning bone or else use a cutting jig
Dunkield
One of the reasons (apart from the obvious cost) I have never shot a stag, is that I would want to mount the whole head - oo err missus! - I just don't have the space in my current house for one of those, even if it isn't anything spectacular, it will always be my first. Why do you guys go for the bleached shull and not the whole head? are you saving that for the elusive Gold? Henry, I am amazed at what you say about the Reds, they must have given them a right hammering! not out of helicopters though I hope... The esate I shoot on which can't be too far from you (don't ask me where though ) has absolutely hundreds and hundreds of reds, and they keep up with their quota's. I guess there in lies the arguement for a proper deer management scheme.
