paulos
Anyone shooting it? 1st May at Nottingham & District GC. I wouldn't have minded doing the British Open the next day but there is a sporting shoot on at Coniston so had better shoot that instead 25 skeet, DTL, ABT and Sporting - in one sitting. Maybe even Evil Elvis can have another go and try and shoot the ABT with skeet chokes ago?

paulos
It'll be telephone entries nearer the time directly to the ground rather than the CPSA. Squads of 5. Not sure of the shooting order, depends on the ground and how they want to run it. Probably be about £35 entry.

MC
Is this an official CPSA gig or is it truly open?
Nicky T
Is this an official CPSA gig or is it truly open? Looks like its an official CPSA Registered Comp....don't know if that means that there's a birds only option too though

paulos
It is a registered MC, they might do the day pass to shoot birds only though You could always.....join the CPSA?
MC
It is a registered MC, they might do the day pass to shoot birds only though You could always.....join the CPSA? I am a member for a few more days. However as the English Open All round I would have assumed it may well have featured on the CPSA website as one of the championships. But it doesn't which is why I asked. I don't see the point of remaining a member any longer as there is nothing in essex and the nearest registered sporting is about 1 1/2 hours drive to a pretty uninspiring ground. Perhaps as Phil Boakes has gone and apparently the cpsa are listening to sporting shooter things may change, but I don't think I will hold my breath. All the CPSA seem to do is concentrate on tarp and squit and let everything else go to rack and ruin. Still I would be perfectly happy for them to prove me wrong. MC
Is that a dare or a double dare? Take a look at their fixture list, you can count on one hand the ammount of fixtures are actually based in Essex. You would have thought taht something as basic as skeet (and we do have some excellent skeet ranges in Essex) and they would have held the county chamionship in the county. I will stick to my local shoots thanks very much

What do you have to lose?

What do you have to lose? Time, energy, effort and money. Every comittee or normal meeting is at least an hours drive for me and for what? If the owner of a shooting ground can't be bothered with registered shoots then what chance do I have?

paulos
The rankings are from overall averages, not championships shoots. (Tut, silly boy ) I'm confident I'll maintain my place in the top 20 though, just providing nobody else takes the discipline up
