I'm not exactly a newbie, but I've just been given permission by one of my LO to apply for a SGC and FAC so thought this site would be most appropriate to pick brains and ask all those newbie questions... ???

I've been air gunning for 20+ years on and off, but 3 years solid recently... now my LO has offered me permission to increase my arsenal.. how could I refuse? :lol:

So where it the best place to start asking question about gun safes & their locations, pros and cons of SBS or O\U semi autos or pumps..

I'll ultimately be shooting vermin, pigeons mainly.. once I can hit a moving object... so clays will be the order of the day to start...

I've a 20 acre field to "play in" is it big enough?

How can we cheaply launch clays?

Oh the questions go on and on...

.. sorry, just a little excited... :drinks:

Cheers

Danny

Welcome :hmm::lol:

a 20 acre field should be big enough but you have to consider where your shot will land and what is the proximity of houses, roads, footpaths even animals in nearby fields, you can go and pik up cheapish clay pigeon throwers on flea bay, . pop into town n country at botley they sell new ones alternative to launching your own clays there are loads of shoots (clay) round here take your pick fareham, hensting lane, chalkie hill, wallers ash to name but a few.

good luck and enjoy
