bail
i made 1 from a wooden clothes peg ,remove the spring then from an old cassette tape (remember those) place a strip off the cassette ribbon to the flat of the peg.and tape at either end (ribbon must be tight) place the flat side of the other peg on top and tape both ends and youve got a call
Spaniel
There is info on BASC ref making a call using Hazel, wish i read this earlier as i spent yesterday morning cutting some hazel down for the pheasies to have some cover, next time i will bring some home
JackReady
Wooden cloths peg and some old video tape. Disassemble a wooden cloths peg an throw away the spring, turn the two sides over so you have the flat side facing each other and put a strip of video tape between them and then use two elastic bands rapped tight around each end to keep everything in place. Hey presto 1 fox squeaker. Made in about 60 seconds for about 2p.
Frenchieboy
Hey Chunkyed, it's one thing being able to call Charlie to you but from what I've been hearing you need to learn how to shoot him or it's a bit of a wasted exercise mate! lol. Frenchieboy
There's only one way to learn how to shoot them haha That is so true my friend. Practice makes perfect! I dare say that if we cared to be honest and admit it we have all missed some rediculously easy shots in our time

steve_b_wales
2 lolly sticks (magnums work best) plus some video tape or thin plastic to act as the reed. I have made dozens of them, and by using different plastic material, I have created many different sounds.
Frenchieboy
You've been stood behind me then mate Yep!!! I have missed a few shots in my time that were so rediculously easy I would rather not mention or try to remember them! Thank goodness that in most cases there way no-one else to see them! :o Like I said, "IF we were all going to be honest"................................. You aren't the first to miss an easy shot and you certainly will not be the last mate! :o :o
