Oly
No mate, that's to keep a dog warm/dry when out. The bag I'm talking about is a bag which you put your dog in after having been out to dry them and also allow the mud etc to drop off. No, that's what these can be used for as well, put the fleece on your dog after shooting & it wicks the moisture away, one dry dog when you get home. No the equafleece is for use after exercise, they wick the moisture away from the dog. Both products achieve much the same thing but my dogs hated the bags and not being able to move around. Oly
Both products achieve much the same thing but my dogs hated the bags and not being able to move around. I was wondering that, and whether they may actually fall over in them as they try to escape?
Magus69
I have one of those bags and they do work. The problem I had at first was getting the Lab in it I now keep it in the back of the car with the drawstring open as wide as possible and after we come off the marsh and I open the tailgate she almost jumps into it just a little bit of manouvering and close the drawstring.Don't know about moving about she has always been more or less perfectly still whilst in the back, she just lays down and when I'm pulling into the drive she sits back up no problem. jimmyb79
I've never been so concerned about the welfare of my cocker as when she was in one of these bags. She continued to try and run about and when mixed with laminate flooring, the outcome could've been on YouTube! I've since got her an Equafleece polo neck blanket. Slips over her head and fastens around her belly. Much easier and does just the same thing.

I've read about using post office sacks with a drawstring and rubbing the dog down whist inside. Sounded an excellent idea, my dog is shiveriing when comming home in the winter. I'm not a postman so can't get my hands on one, unless I mug our Postie with my cammo mask on! I could make the local paper and law courts though.
