Puppy Biting

I have heard people biting them back, smacking noses and then this one too (see link below), but I was just wondering if there is a non-physical/pain way of stopping a puppy biting??

Every time my dog put his mouth on me, I let out a loud yelp. You have to be consistant and as soon as the mouth touches you. Worked for both my terrier and lurchers.

What I did was make a wimper noise like a small puppy n go away a few feet from her n lie down like she had hurt me, she would run over n lick me as if trying to say sorry. Was hard not to laugh but she soon stopped n hasnt done it since rly worked really well for me

I just gave all mine one of those puppy bones to chew on, its going to chew or bite so give it something rather then your toes or fingers, worked well for me and thats on 4 dogs

i've always pinched their ears until they yelp.not spitefully but enough for discomfort.nothing more than the mother would do when they've had enough

when jess done this a couple times i bit her ear till she yelped only took 2/3 goes and that was sorted never done it since thats well over a year ago now
