BountyHunter
I have a BSA Lightning, can this be made to fit? BH
bez
Not sure on the Lightning. Does the original silencer screw on, or is it held on with a grub screw? You just looking to make the gun more compact? Cheers Stephen
whippet.22
I have a BSA Lightning, can this be made to fit? BH No mate it won't, Lightning mod is held on with a crappy grub screw (who ever would put on of them on a heavily recoiling spring gun mod ), the BSA ultra/hornet mod is threaded. You could have the Lightning threaded if you really wanted, but at the end of the day it's only a spring gun and is quiet enough with the standard mod on. edit: I also wouldn't want to cock the Lightnings short 10" barrel with all the pressure on about a centimetre of thread. bez
Oh yes it can Yes i think it can be made to fit, but not worth doing on your lightning. For your gun you would need to buy an adaptor. BSA adaptor part no. 16-6617 shown here http://www.bsaguns.co.uk/html/index.php?mo...display&ceid=21 So not worth the expense as you already have the standard mod. BountyHunter
No there is no mod on it at the moment, 'twas given to me in bits needing blueing or painting as the barrel is covered in surface rust. It works well but sounds like a shotgun going off! BH
Ferret Master
Hi, That's strange as they come as standard. You should be able to get one at not too higher price at a guess around £25. FM

Ferret Master
Hi, The lightning is relativley quiet for a springer with the standard sliencer on and my S410 is incredibly quiet with the S400/S410 silencer on. FM
plexer
Lightnings are a ****** to cock with no silencer on and a lot noiser, if you have one file a flat where the grub screw locates and a bit of threadlock it ain't gonna get loose then.
