lapwing chicks

For the first time in my life, I have seen lapwing chicks. They are in a sheep field with a few other lapwings. One brood has 4 chicks and the other has 3.

What a spectacle. Does anyone know where they nest because at the moment they are in the middle of a field.

All in all, a very nice sight, and good to see them breeding so far inland

Nice one Sam! We have a few nesting in our area, it's nice to see them making a comeback. Foxes and badgers are the main culprits for taking Lapwing chicks so even though there is nothiong that can be legally done about the badgers try to keep the foxes under control mate!
