djrwood
Need some advice. I know it is illegal to disturb nesting birds. But is it illegal/frowned to shoot crows as they come in to land in their nests. Theres a row of trees where i have permission to shoot that has several large nests in and a large number of crows are back and forth all day long. I was hoping to nestle myself in the tree line and hit the little ******* as they come in but didnt know if this shouldnt be done as i dont want to leave nests full of starved young even if they are little nasty *******. Is there a difference between shooting the same crows out in the field to shooting them as they come to nest? Many Thanks Dan
Go Go Gadget
If they are rooks, just waitt a week or so and the young will be moving out of the nest and youll be able to controll the numbers easily
steve_b_wales
I try and get the crow as she sits on the nest. That way, I get the bird and the eggs. Some may not agree with this method, but it's a good way of thinning out the crows. Just shooting out the nest could lead the crow to simply build another. Need heavy shells to penetrate some of the nests though.
