Shooting wanted, near Louth, Lincolnshire

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am new to shooting although I am 27 and have a .22LR on a closed

licence and a semi auto shotgun.

I am looking for some shooting, any kind of vermin, pigeon, rabbit, rats,

crows etc in the Lincolnshire area.

As I work away during the week the weekends would be best, and I would

be looking for the odd weekends shooting as and when needed.

If there is anyone with permission who could use an extra gun and would be

kind enough to take me out with them that would be great.

I do have one question, can I use my .22 on someone else's permission as

long as the land was on the chief officers list? I understand with my shotgun

this is ok but wasn't sure about the .22 due to my closed licence.

Many thanks and please pm me if interested

Jonathan

ill try and be polite about this as poss. how do we know your not a loon? Its all very well having the gear, and the FAC, but looking at some of the posts on here, somefolk should bnot be allowed to work the cooker, never mind a gun. You have to ask yourself this. If you were a farmmer, who has worked very hard at keeping his farm alive with animals, would you allow somebody you dont know to walk around with a loaded gun? The next one being this, as you have a very small post count, how do people on this site know you are not some div with a Rambo complex? Im sure you are a perfectly nice guy, but you need to see it from the other side. Most of the posters on PW will know answers to basic questions like you have asked, but they would also expect you to have a look and find the answers for yourself. If you are responsible enough to hold an FAC, then these are questions you should, by now, already have read up on. Please dont take this as a flaming, just an atempt to help you see the other side.

Hi

You are quite right that anyone on this forum is unlikely to know anything about me. So I'm

not quite sure what to say in response to your post apart from that everyone needs to start

somewhere, so I thought I would ask on this forum as I have been getting information from

here for a while.

I would expect to meet up with anyone who was willing to take me out with them before

any shooting. If I am unclear as to firearms restrictions I am responsible enough to ask

for clarification.

Knowing no one who shoots I was looking for some guidance, not permission to shoot

on land, I would be interested in someone taking me out and showing me the

ropes.

Hi,

Can anyone recommend anywhere that on payment you can have a guided introduction to pigeon shooting? Either in the Lincolnshire or Essex area.

Would be looking for either a half day or full day with someone to show me the ropes. Own gun, own cartridges, own insurance, no decoy, no hide or previous experience.

Thanks

pro tom, he is from your neck of the woods, does days over 3,000 acres if am not mistaken :good:

Hushpower,

Thanks for that, I have been in touch with Tom, so will probably try and sort something for later this month.

That will give me some valuable experience as he sets up the hide and decoys for you.

Jon.

Hey mm

Are you from licolnshire

As comment is just wrong to put it politely and a bit hostile

And insular shooting in the uk is hard enough the laws are backwards

Novice hunters should be help not shunned

We all need to stick together not be in a click

Give people a go

How do people get experience when you stick together

And keep your knowledge to your self

You sus someone out first and judge them

Or is the english tradition to be a snob

Lincolnshire is full of them these inbreds and morons should not even be allowed spud guns

They can't even use a round about here and are mostly racist if you are not a local who has staged your sister and your eyes are to close together and have 11 toes and fingers

Give people a go mate and be friendly

People need to learn about the sport

Be nice to your fellow inbred if your in lincolnshire

With all due respect to you fella, there's a lot of shooters on here who have had bad experiences with taking people out on their shoots. As such you will find that ANYBODY with land to shoot over will be extremely cautious about who they invite to shoot over that land with him, and to be honest, someone who the 'forum' has no knowledge of but has initially come on here asking for free shooting is not a rarity and likely to get short shrift anyway.

Somebody like MM with a extensive posting history has A, been on here for quite a while, which B, will have allowed people to judge whether he is a Walt or not which in turn gives people the opportunity to get a feel for the fella and make a judgement from there.

In a similar vein, you coming on here and spouting off at an old hand will not have done your online image here much good either. Great second post.
