BU in italian proof marks is 2004 (year of proof)

top barrel can.76 18,4

bottom barrel kg1.390 18,4

These are the barrel thickness (so it can be compared later for safety (i think) 76 is the chamber 76mm is 3" (i think)

I think the KG is proof loading of 1.390 (not sure tho)

have a look here for the markings (magnifying glass may help) http://www.phoenixinvestmentarms.com/archives/Proofmarks.pdf

OK .. getting there. Didn't FIAS make the Lincolns?

So it look like it was proofed in 2004 (BU) with bore diameter of 18.4mm, a barrel weight of 1.390 Kg. and a 76mm (3") chamber.

Italy uses CIP Rules so the proof pressures will be in BAR.

You may find a number like "1050 BAR" ?? or a bit higher?

Don't think these were proofed for steel shot though.
