Im really exited about going there tommorow its normaly a grand per day pluss £27 per bird for the drivenshooting wer'e getting it for £25 per day inclding a evening meal. Deako Posted January 12, 2003 Report Share Posted January 12, 2003 Columbus, Have you used the Harris on pheasant and partridge before? I ask because I hosted some lads from the Welsh hawking club a couple of years ago and they told me the Harris was too slow for gamebirds.........they did catch a squirrel and a couple of rabbits though. :( The only bird fast enough to get on a pheasant was a goshawk.....and THAT was one fearsome predator.Let us know how you get on, I'd be interested. columbus Posted January 12, 2003 Author Report Share Posted January 12, 2003 Deako will post how i got on on tuesday evening or wednesdayas for saying that harris hawks are to slow to catch pheasants that is the usual exscuse of someone with a unfit bird a fit harris will take pheasant if they are flown everyday.
