wildfowler.250
Hi, I was just wondering if there's any way of checking if your airgun is still shooting at 12 ft/lb. I've had a weihrauch 77K for a few years now and I got it 2nd hand so I figured there would be no harm in testing it. Is this a case of sticking it into a gun shop? Thanks in advance for any replies! Ps: I haven't had any problems with the gun as yet but it would be handy to know if it actually is putting out full power
Colster
Buy a chronoscope, you can get them for £40 (less some times on a popular auction site) and they always sell on here for £30-35 really quickly, so once you're done, sell it on. You can take it to a gunshop but if it goes over when they're testing it they might not let you have it back. If you decide to go all out and buy the PC cable too, make sure your PC has a serial port (a lot of modern PC's and laptops don't) or get a USB to Serial adaptor. Dekers
As above.....the Cb 625 is a cracking bit of kit and you will not beat it for the money, can sometimes be a bit fiddly to set up straight on the gun but mine has always been pretty accurate when tested against other much more expensive chronos! Vipa
I have a cb 625 only used once then I bought a Chrony Gamma for CF stuff so is surplus to requirements. Yours for £30 plus £2 posted (can take Paypal) No box but dead easy to use and accurate too, remember, to calculate your muzzle energy you will also need to weigh your pellets, for an extra fiver I'll throw in a portable/pocket grain scale. Let me know. Paul
wildfowler.250
Thanks for the replies! It looks like a complicated piece of kit to use? Paul Thank you very much for the offer but I think i'll pass just now...it would take me ages to work out how to use it I'll probably put the gun into a gun shop,(as long as the price isn't too steep). Many thanks again for the offer though
Colster
Thanks for the replies! It looks like a complicated piece of kit to use? Thank you very much for the offer but I think i'll pass just now...it would take me ages to work out how to use it I'll probably put the gun into a gun shop,(as long as the price isn't too steep). Many thanks again for the offer though WAIT!! Seriously consider the consequences of putting a gun into a gunshop to test, if it's over they can't legally let you have it back. These things sell on for near their new price because people buy one as they want to know what their gun is putting out but then have little or no further use for one so sell it on in mint condition to someone else to do the same. Vipa is doing you a good deal (which you'll get back most if not all of if/when you sell it on) I have one of these, are they are incredibly easy to use, stick it on the end of the barrel (using the bracket supplied to make sure it's aligned as it's adjustable to work with guns with moderators on the end), press a button, fire gun. A number appears in either ft/lbs or feet per second, whichever you choose. Edited May 17, 2010 by Colster
wildfowler.250
Ok I can't actually see the gun being over the legal limit but I suppose it wouldn't be worth the risk! Vipa, would it be possible to let you know for definate if I want it in a couple of days? You can PM me if you want! Cheers!

Clubshot
Most Air Gun Clubs have Chrono's - and will often chrono New Shooters All they can do is ask you to sort before returning to Ranges Expect most have Good Gunsmiths on site that Can Assist BOB/R
