not tried them myself but i understand its fine. However because of the rifleing the pattern of the shot isn't great, something about having a circlular pattern.

leaves the barrels pretty dirty also.

I dont imagine that there should be a problem but alwats best to seek advice. as for pattern etc I dont think that should be an issue as I'm hoping to shoot rats in a stable at about 10 feet!! Fast little bu#*!:s aint they.

There isnt enough room to get the airgun over the stable door and find them in the scope so I'm hoping the shotshells might do the trick......

HAHAHAHA there are 2 replies to that..... firstly could be about my measuring, the mrs reckons I dont know the difference between 6 and 10

The other is more likely, 6ft actually giving me some chance of hitting them as lately I cant shoot for toffee :blush::rolleyes::hmm:

I tried patterning at 3 metres Used the crimped .22 shotshells in a CZ452.

Pattern was a hollow (almost perfect) star shape... Believe it or not!

So the likelihood is that you'll miss if you aim dead on!

.

HAHA once again this would probably be a bennefit the way i've been shooting

5or 6 yards is ample, really is closer to 5 or 6 feet!!

As said, leave the mod off, and if you intend to use the gun for bullets afterwards scrub thoroughly to get rid of any residues from the rifling.

Pal of mine uses them a bit and has a dedicated tool for the job, I haven't fired any for ages, but would probably seriously consider a cheap used .22lr if I had a serious application!
