ME
I just tried to find my last post on this but cant see it. Let's say that a while back I was unlucky enough to have scammers change the address on my credit card, order a new card to the new address and start spending on my account. I was cleared in the matter and the money refunded. Since then Mrs ME has been very paranoid about our Tescos credit card to the point where if we dont see a statement then she gets me to call them and request one. Tonight I have called them and requested a statement and checked the address and it has been changed AGAIN. I told Tescos to cancel the card and not to issue a new one. This is just a reminder to all of you out there to check your statements regularly and if you dont see one then call your credit card. I have averted a problem this time but it wouldnt have been long before they ordered a new card at the new address and started spending Keep 'em peeled Yours Shaw Taylor

Gordon R
It's surprisingly easy to get scammed on credit cards. The postie can nick your new card or apply for one in your name. Easy enough to intercept the promotional junk mail and the subsequent card and PIN. Never throw credit card fliers into your bin, with your details intact. I don't want to start an argument with Postal workers. We both know it happens. If you don't, I don't think you work for Royal Mail. I was asked for my credit card at Manchester Shooting School as security on Wednesday. I am sure they are perfectly honest, but it only takes one dodgy employee. They didn't react too well when I declined. They then asked for my driving licence - some people have obviously never heard of identity fraud. It would have been funny under other circumstances. I wonder how many people give information away in this manner. "Data harvesting" is the name for it.
