DJLeslie
Ordered a new winchester sx3 3" field 28" barrel, should be here any day now. What are your thoughts on this running in malarkie with a couple boxes of heavy carts before using lighter clay loads? Cheers Darren. If anything, you'd do the complete opposite. However in this case, it will work fine, straight out of the box. If it doesn't fire clay loads, then they're too light. You need enough recoil to cycle the gun, so trying 24grm cartridges will more than likely struggle. I take it when you buy a brand new car, with 0 miles on the clock, you start it up and rev it into the red for 10 minutes to 'run it in' Edited June 23, 2010 by Billy. Googled sx3 to find reviews etc but found a lot of threds from american forums saying about this. I probably won't bother but just wondered if anyone had had to do this to get their's to cycle lighter loads.

JonD
When i got my Beretta AL391 Teknys Sporter there was a label on the box advising to put 200+ 32g carts through it. Anyway, I put 100 Hull IntercompHV 28g through it then stripped, cleaned and lubed as advised above and it's been faultless, it cycles anything providing the case length of the cart is 70mm including 21g Eley Firsts. I have now put 3500 through it in 3 months and not had a single jam, hangup etc. Cheers, Jon.
