It was on a pirking trip from Rye in 1994.There were several cod to 36Lb on the boat, this guy took so long to land this fish that i had landed 2 doubles before i realised he was still into the fish from the first drop down!!! It looks HUGE but its not until you realise the guy was 27 stone do you get an idea how massive it was....i had a set of 44lb salter scales and it whacked them straight to the bottom. I recon 50lb+ sorry about piccy...i need a new scanner...but a new semi auto is more likley!! Ill see if i can find the picture of the 36lber to compare it with!! The size that used to be caught before we completely knackered the cod stocks would blow your mind!
