otherwayup
Hi, I've been told to use high temp grease on choke threads. Halfords didn't seems to have anything specifically claiming to be high temp. The only tub that actually mentioned a temp was rated up to 120 degC, which doesn't seem that high to me. So I bought a tube of Copper Ease (Anti Seize Assembly Compound) rated up to 1150 degC. Any reason why I shouldn't use this? (some kind of Galvanic corrosion maybe?) Thanks, Darren. COACH
A thin smear of Tetra grease or a quick spray of Napier and shove em back in quick.
steve_b_wales
Copper grease is perfect! AS ABOVE. I've used Copper Grease (available from Halford's) for at least 15 years, and have never had any problem with stuck chokes. I also smear some on my rifle barrels and also on the barrel thread/s before fitting my T8 and other make moderators.
